The French #1 telecom operator for the Internet of Things
The leading telecom operator for the Internet of Things
m2ocity, the French leading telecom operator for the Internet of Things, has been created by Veolia and Orange in 2011.
1.4 million objects are connected to the m2ocity telecom network in nearly 1 500 French cities, which accounts for a fourth of the French population.
As a telecom operator, m2ocity rolls out locally an M2M (Machine-to-Machine) infrastructure and operates it with powerful centralized resources. The service is open to any smart city player interested in it and is interoperable with any kind of connected object that communicates by radio. As such, m2ocity's telecom network is the stepping stone to a sustainable development of the smart city.
